During our 4-weeks together we will cover the following topics...

BETTER CONNECTION WITH YOUR TEEN

  • Communication vs. Conversation - what's your primary means of connection with your teen? Is it working?
  • A look inside. How are you showing up? Let's be sure your messaging is on point.
  • This call is about setting things up, so your teen comes to YOU when things are tough. and they need support.

RESPOND vs. REACT...5 POWERFUL CHOICES

  • Did you know...we actually have 5 choices in every situation?
  • The great news is that four of these choices work for us, while only one is non-productive. Yet, it's easy to get stuck in that one.
  • This call is about empowering you. So, when you make choices (whether interacting with others, or in life!), you feel good and in control.

MINDSET MANAGEMENT

  • Do you ever think about thoughts as energy? Because i's true! Thoughts are energy, so what that means, is that our thoughts either work for us, or against us.
  • Why does this matter? Because raising teenagers, can send our thoughts (and emotions!) all over the place.
  • During this call, I'm going to share the 6 influences of your energy (thoughts!).  Then, we'll talk about how to make your thoughts work in your favor.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A TEENAGER...

  • Here's a statement I hear most weeks from teenagers --"My parents don't understand how hard school is."
  • Teenagers yearn to feel seen, heard, and understood. Yet, many teens feel like their parents don't "quite" get it (even those who have a great relationship with their parents!). There's no judgment here, whatsoever. It's just a very different world.
  • Tonights call is special because you'll meet Madi. She's a current senior who will be joining us to share experiences common to teens on a typical day (that your kiddos may not be talking about).
